Not every problem needs a new slab. A walkway that's dropped an inch at the porch, a pool deck panel that's settled away from the coping, a garage apron that's sunk where the trucks turn — those can be lifted back in an afternoon with polyurethane foam injection, for a fraction of replacement cost. We drill small holes, inject expanding foam under the slab, and raise it to level; you can walk on it in 15 minutes.
Surface damage is different. Spalling from sprinkler overspray, popouts, hairline crazing from a bad afternoon pour years ago — those get patched with a polymer-modified repair mortar or, if the whole surface is tired, a resurfacing overlay that gives you a new broom or decorative finish over sound concrete.
And sometimes the honest answer is removal. A slab with structural cracks through its full depth, multiple heaved panels, or crumbling edges is a replacement, and we'll say so. Demo includes breaking, hauling and recycling the old concrete and leaving the site ready for whatever comes next — new concrete, pavers or landscaping.

Questions we get about repair, leveling & removal
Polyjacking or mudjacking?
Polyurethane. It weighs about 2 pounds per cubic foot versus 100 for mud slurry, so it doesn't add load to already-soft soil, it cures in minutes instead of days, and the injection holes are ⅝ inch instead of 1½. Mudjacking is cheaper up front and fails sooner here.
Can a cracked slab be lifted?
If the crack is a single clean break and the pieces are sound, yes — we lift both sides to level and seal the crack. If the slab is broken into several pieces or crumbling, lifting won't hold and we'll recommend replacement.
Why did my walkway sink?
Usually water: a downspout, a leaking irrigation line or sprinkler overspray washing out the base, or the clay under it drying and shrinking during a hot, dry stretch. We fix the cause where we can see it so the slab doesn't drop again.
Will resurfacing hide cracks?
Hairline crazing and surface wear, yes. Structural cracks will telegraph through an overlay within a season, so we repair those first or tell you it's a replacement.
Do you haul away the old concrete?
Yes. Broken concrete goes to a recycler in the Valley, not a landfill, and the price includes hauling.
